It's a six cylinder 3 speed adapter housing. It goes between the 3 speed trans and Bronco Dana 20 T-case in a 6 banger Bronco. They are also used for NP435 adapters as long as you posses an adapter plate to make it work. I don't have any of those plates. You would have to source those if that's the application you were going for.
