Electronics can operate at high temperatures ok, but only for so long. There is a well known calculation used for electronics called the Arrhenius Equation that provides an acceleration factor used in estimating the decreased life of components due to increasing temperatures. On the engine fuel injection designs are fine for weekend use but aren’t best for long term daily driving.
