I really need to get my carb rebuilt, but can't find any resources to help me out... it's a Carter 4bbl, I know they are generally like Edelbrock carbs, but will a generic Edelbrock rebuild kit work? If not, where can I find a Carter kit and instructions??

Don't know who sells Carter kits but just used an Edelbrock kit to do a 625 Carter AFB , everything was identical .

In my experience, Carter , Edelbrock the same animal , I have a pair of 600s that were built by Weber , same thing . I think if you stay with the same series , the kits should be the same . Any GOOD auto tune up shop should be able to fix you up , look for one with an old guy running the place , he would probably know what a carburetor is at least .
