Looking thru my sisters 1976 high school yearbook and Bam! Look what I found about midway thru. The pic was taken on Main Street downtown Johnson a City, TN near old "Bens Sports Shop". Brings back memories of old
school sports stores like they used to be. They stocked everything from roller skates, shoes, tennis rackets, model cars, board games, bicycles, marbles, football helmets, basketballs, cheerleading stuff , rockets, etc. in one small store and you could order almost anything else...some of you remember the good old stores:)

Yeah and a 10 yr old could go in there and buy a box of 22 ammo with no prob, I used to do it, that was in 1978, how times have changed. My mom would be shopping for groceries and I would run to the sporting goods store next door and look at all the hunting and fishing stuff and buy a box of ammo. Now u gotta show every form of ID known and tell them what you plan on doing with it.
