Can't seem to find the answer by searching prior threads. I removed the steering wheel and can't seem to get the retainer behind the wheel to come off in order to gain access to turn signal mechanism and bolt holding on the shift lever hub. In the end just trying to switch a 3 on the tree for a plain flange now that shifter is on the floor.

Also, trying to remove the all the dash knobs and reuse. I have all the knobs off that tighten with a screw in the back. Appreciate and tricks on how to remove the rest without breaking/destroying.

Many thanks.

Exactly what I needed to know in terms of dash hardware. The video link for ignition switch removal couldn't be any more accurate.

Still not sure what to do about the flange as I would prefer not to leave the flange for the shifter there.

Thanks for the assist.
