Steering Column?

I have a '75 Bronco that someone put on a late model steering wheel that just will not come off, tried everything except the fire wrench. What I would like to know is, would a steering column from a f150 work in the Bronco with out much modifications, and if so what years are compatible for an automatic transmission that is in the Bronco.
