Stock 74 wheel on stock 75 column; possible?

I have a 1975 stock steering wheel on my stock column. It needs to be replaced, but I much prefer the 74 and earlier stock steering wheels. Is it possible to mount a stock 74 steering wheel on my stock automatic 75 column?

I think the answer is no, but I just want to verify. Thanks!

Yes it can but if there are differences than pull the steering shaft out and swap it as a whole unit.

the spline count is different - it could certainly be done, but its not a bolt on swap
i prefer the pre-75 wheel also
