Hi all,

I'm very new to working on Broncos and I'm in the process of getting the air cleaner rebuilt. it has a filter inside that is small and round. I can't seem to figure out how to remove the cap. The obvious answer is pinch the tabs underneath and pull, but it won't budge, even yanking with pliers. I'm not sure it's just old and stuck, or I'm doping it wrong, but wanted to check before I damaged something. Any suggestions how to get this off?

Don’t pinch the tabs. Look at the base of one of those pins and you will see two metals tabs from the clip gripping the pin. You have to slip something like a small screwdriver under each of those tabs to lift them up and away from the pin. Then you can pull the pin out. You will probably need to gradually work them out one at a time.
