Just curious what options you guys have used for an aftermarket radio/cd/head unit that will fit in the stock dash w/o cutting?:?. If not many... then who's had good luck mounting them( CD player/head unit) in the Tuffy Box. Seems like mounting @45 degrees( in tuffy box) would be problematic for a cd player?:? Pic's/Opinions welcomed...

to mount a CD player into the stock hole just ain't going to happen. These days nothing that you will get from a big box store will fit without cutting. Some specialty aftermarket stuff may fit and be able to control a remotely mounted CD changer but that will cost alot and I don't know where to start for that.

As for mounting on a 45 degree angle. Most CD head units will do it without a problem. Some even have a small adjustment screw on the side that it asks you to set at close to horizontal so that the unit will compensate for a steeper angle. I had one mounted vertically for several years in a previous vehicle without and problems.

By the way there is enough room behind the dash for a modern head unit if you do decide to cut the dash.
