I you dont mind me being a lil nosey, how much does a job like that cost? I have a small sand blaster from Harbour Freight and I'm wondering if its worth the money to get someone to do it for me.

x2. And it looks like they media blasted everything but the finished side (outside) of the tub, were it looks like it was sanded to bare metal. is this correct? Why?

...i use a soda blaster on the bare metal...it keeps the metal from "flash rusting"

Hey Guys,

Stripped Naked.;D

The Tub is in really great shape. As you can see the cowl is the worst part, which is typical. The top has a couple issues that need to be worked out.
The hood, doors, tailgate and front fenders are also in really good shape and are finished.
Much of the tub was media blasted. All the "panels", hood, top, sides were stripped by hand. Yes, to prevent wraping. All misc. holes were filled and smoothed. Much of the top and sides are down to bare metal. They blast the tub in two stages. Overall blast, rust repair, then go back and spot blast all the spots that were missed or need more work, then epoxy prime.

SoCal Paint works in Santee, Ca. Are doing the work. Bob is the owner. He's a great guy and knows his stuff.
http://socalpaintworks.com/. As for $$$ too much....I will just say $75.00/hr. These guys are pretty fast I dropped it off a week ago.
All I'm having done is rust repair and epoxy prime, then I will finish the rest..except paint.
