Striped out balljoint preload sleeve

Hello everyone, just got back from my shop. I was planning on installing the ball joint camber/caster adjusters. I was successful with the left side, but I stripped the preload sleeve on the right side. Is there a trick to getting a stipped sleeve out? Do I need to take the knuckle off and screw it all the way down? Thanks

I put a hacksaw blad down thru the center of the hole from the top. Connected the blade back to the handle and sawed (carefully) into 3 pie shaped pieces. Came right out. Took about 20 minutes that way. I'm sure there are some other good/better approaches.

Usually the sleeve is stuck because of the ball joint being wedged in there. Try using an air hammer and skinny bit and drive straight down on the top of the ball joint. If you can get the ball joint to break free from the sleeve, they will normally spin right out. Be careful not to "mushroom" the top of the ball joint. You only need to rap on it enough to break it free from the sleeve.
