I just purchased an 06 HB for a f250. I don't have the body near me at the moment to see if the factory MC will clear the hood. What is a simple bolt on MC that will clear for this? 351w carbed. I did message Toddz but I figured I would post it also. Thx for any and all help.

Some folks have used the stock master cylinders but they are very tall and I always worry about hood clearance.

I, and many others, use the Mopar 1.125" bore master cylinders (88 D150 is a model to use when parts shopping online) and like them. They'll need the mounting ear holes bored out and the input rod from the booster to the master needs to be shortened a bit. It's bolt-on but it's not a quick-n-simple bolt-on.

I used the 79 Camaro disc / drum one and I do not have a proportioning valve and it works great. Bolted right up. It was like $60 new at Advance I think.

I would be one of those "many others" Todd referred to. I used a 2001 SD hydroboost and the Mopar master. I did some measuring and found that the rod to the master would have to be shortened by exactly 1/2". But I also needed to rotate the booster 90° clockwise to clear my upper manifold, so I fabricated a 1/2" spacer that allowed rotating the booster but still let the master bolt up.

It might be easier to fabricate a spacer, regardless of whether you need to rotate the booster.

Now that is a definite reduction on a mc. Thank you for those pics, it really helps. My local junk yard wanted $200 for a Hb...... It really ticked me off so i told him to pull it for me. Called my local napa and they got me a reman for $138. I hate gougers....
