I have 33 ssr and love them. They are much quiter then the BFG mud terain that I use to have. I had the SSR for a few years and haven't had problems with them except for balaning them. It took alot of weight per rim and I still think they are not quit there. When i get new tires I'll most likely get SSR again, but use those pellet you can put in the tires for balance. I haven't used them of road much, my truck needs alot of work before I get serious at that.

I had a set of 33x14.5/15, and I hated them. I couldn't get them to balance no matter what I tried. I eventually sold them to a kid who wanted them only for mud, didn't care about the balancing issue. I went with KM2's, and stepped up to a 35. I balanced them with beads, and absolutely no issues with balancing. As far as off road, the BFG's seem to do just as well everywhere, including mud. The SSR has a fairly shallow tread compared to other swampers. The BFG's are better on the pavement too, but they are only 12.5 wide where the SSR's were 14.5 wide, which makes them wonder. For what its worth, I won't ever buy another set, and I always wanted a set of swampers before I had them.

For the most part they are great. My only complaint is they do not air down and comform to rocks very well....At least now that mine are fairly old...

But all other aspects of the tire are great. Noise isn't bad, even when worn; balanced just fine, traction is superb. They are heavy though. I have 35's ona 15" rim. These replaced 33x15.5 SX's.

That being said, I will probaby go with KM2s next time...

I had some 35*14.5s and thought they were decent on-road but AWFUL off-road, even custom grooved them and still hated them for wheeling.

though not on a bronco, I had 37x12.5's on my superduty. I had 2 sets of PJ's before that, and a set of BFG muds before that. now Im sitting on wrangler mt's (true hummer tires).

the ssr's were the best and lasted the longest. granted, this was almost all street driving, but pushing a 10k pound truck 90ish mph and never had them feel squirrely and rain manners were pretty good.

I thought the bfg's were weak overall, the PJ's wore VERY fast, as are the wranglers. my next set of daily driver tires will be SSR's and when the tires on my bronco wear out (wrangler mt/r's), I'll gladly replace with SSR's.

again....different circumstances, but the weight of my f350 is a decent test on tires IMHO.

when they start cupping they sing on the highway pretty good though.

I have been running a set for 4 years although not a lot of miles. I switched to IROK bias for the trails but still have the SSR's for the street. I have no complaints for street use, not near as good as the IROK offroad but it's not intended to be. Look in my gallery, 1 pic has the IROK's, 1 pic has 35" SSR's, the rest are with 33" SSR's.

for my 2cents, i've run them on multiple trucks, they are quiet, work well offroad, but for the price i'll probably run some km2's next, if i do run them again, i'll run 35 or 37x12.50's the narrower size works better for the lighter trucks like eb's and other vehicle's i won't mention ;)

Sounds like every other guy in the northeast that has tried them.%)
They just don't work well in our terrain.
