Superswamper Irok radial or Trxus M/T?

I came to the conclusion this is my two choices. The deciding factor will be what people have to say about road manners and wear as it will be driven on the street. The Irok looks like it might be very noisy compared to Trxus. Am I right?
Thanks

I run the Irok Radials and they are fairly quiet. About midway between the BFG Mud Terrains I had before and TSL's.

I've heard that the Irok's are very soft so be careful if it's going to be on the road a lot.

A friend said Iroks are big and cheep but loud. I haven't rode in a rig that was running them though. If it's not a DD I don't think a little noise would Kill you. I vote Irok.

I've had a set of both types of tires. The Iroks are soft and tend to have the Swamper howl, but have great road manners, compared to TSL's, if they are balanced properly. I ran a set of the Trxus/MT's on my old Dodge Ram. They were also a softer compound tire. I managed 20K out of them on my DD. They did work well in the rain and ice. After a little wear they were no noisier than a BFG or Dueler.

The Trxus comes in a wider variety of sizes than the Irok. For a DD I'd run the Trxus and the Irok on a weekend warrior.

FWIW, I would estimate that my Iroks have about 8000 miles on them and are at about 60%. That's a loose estimate though since my Speedo hasn't worked since I cut the cable in half a couple of summers back. I figure I can get by with them for another year or two before I jump up to bigger tires.

I don't own either, but almost everyone in my club has dropped the BFG's and MTR's in favor of the Trxus. But we dont have much rock, and we do a fair bit of pavement to get to the trailhead and DD duty. Feedback is the sidewalls are TOUGH and the winter/wet traction is better than the BFG/MTR's.
