I was changing the oil in the explorer after our fantastic trip to Moab. Going through all the right steps of verifying proper oil level, pulled the dipstick and came up with just a handle 🤦‍♂️ the stick was still in the tube. I fished it out and found a stick that was too short but it sealed the hole. And started loooking and couldn’t find a replacement. After much searching I dropped @tasker a PM and asked if he had any available info. Not only did he look up the part number, he found the nearest Ford dealer that had one along with their contact info. I called them up and low and behold it showed up today😎

Thank you Randy!!!!

PS: yes I straightened it before installation, it wasn’t real happy about being rolled up into a tiny envelope.

Yes, a big delayed thanks to Tasker. Had a similar experience with my Explorer swap dipstick (handle popped right off) and had no luck finding the _right_ replacement. Tasker posted the part number and a couple suppliers trying to help someone, but they were looking for the tube only. I scored the dipstick from one of the sources and it arrived a couple weeks ago. Many thanks.

These things seem to be going obsolete and in very short supply!

FYI they are plentiful on Ebay if you have the part number, F67Z-6750-BA . I went ahead and ordered from the recommended dealer, but they are out there.

I think the tubes are harder to find?
