Three speed. Column shift issue

I went from a little sloppy to not working at all pretty quick. The shifter moves around freely but nothing is happening under the hood. (I put it in 2nd manually under the hood then started it up and drove home. Im afraid to tear into it because I might need to move it while I wait for parts, but don't know what parts typically cause this problem without taking it apart.anybody got a good handle on what I likely need to order to get this fixed and back on the road?

Column shifter

Well well well I just went through this two weeks ago. I took the steering wheel off and remove the shifter tube only and found a broken tab that was spot welded from the factory at the very top where the shifter lever attaches . Had the keyway tab welded but be careful not to put any bead weld on the sides of the tab only on the top and the bottom because it acts like a keyway into the shifter collar. Hopefully that does your trick.
