Toy Hauler that fits Bronco, Work and Play

Anyone have a Toy Hauler RV that their Bronco fits in? Been looking online at the Work and Play toy haulers, some look like they could handle the weight of a Bronco.

Work And Play are are rated for the weight of an EB. However, they really prioritize the garage over the living quarters. Look at the master bedroom and the steps to get up there.

If money is no object, look at ATC (Aluminum Trailer Corp). They are very nice but very expensive. And I believe the master bedroom is still kind of inconvenient.

You can get all the slides but that adds to the price. My FIL and I both have EB's and normally go the same places so he might pull the fifth wheel while I will pull the EB's.

Check out Dune sport , they are in Mesa and will custom build a Toy hauler to fit anything and any configuration you want. www.dunesport.com .

My buddy had a 30' goose-neck toy hauler, fiberglass sides and for the money would be very hard to beat. There are certainly higher end trailers then Duune sport but probably cost twice as much.

I'm currently looking at a horse trailer with 4 horse stalls and a living quarters. The short wall (because they load the horses in at an angle) is 13' long and the width between the trailer wheel wells is about 75". I've got full width axles so, once I've removed the horse related stuff from the "garage", I may have to get creative to get my hubs past the wheel wells. The trailer weighs around 10,500 lbs and has a 17,000 lb gross weight so load capacity shouldn't be a problem. Plus, horse trailers are built on heavy duty flatbed trailer chassis because they have to be more robust to go where the horse people like to go to ride their steeds. Only problem is I'm going to have to do some significant surgery to remove the stalls and mangers.

Pretty sure Dune Sport toy haulers are for quads or dirt bikes--not rated for an EB.

A relative has a 43' Raptor toy hauler and he put his pretty stock heep in it. I wouldn't do that with an EB. I think the ramp would fold-up without additional support. He did say it towed better with the heep than without it. Probably takes some pin weight off with the garage loaded.

Dune Sport will custom build it to haul an Early Bronco with no issues. One of the AZ boys had one built to haul his EB tube crawler that has full width axles. Heck, I have an old 2003 26' bumper pull Thor toy hauler that I haul my Bronco in. I modified the interior for clearance. Good luck

My buddy has a 38' living quarters trailer he had built to haul his race Bronco. Looks very similar to the ATC above.

He had mentioned selling it. If interested, I can ask.

Located in MD.

My experience with work and play isn't really good, their trailers are way underrated for payload. If they say 5000# payload you can bet on 3500 max. That 5000 is without water, propane food an air conditioner or any other options. That's how I wound up with my redneck hauler. I looked at units from other manufacturers and I could get there I just wasn't willing to spend the dollars.

I just spoke with my buddy. It's a 2006 38' Continental with 16' garage.

Triple 5.5K axles
electo-hydraulic landing gear
Full walk on roof

Sleeps 6 with two fold down singles in garage.

$18K

Thanks guys. I'll look into some of these options. Dunesport first. The ATC is nice, but $$$.

Maybe I'll get a truck camper, keep my car hauler trailer and then later down the road do a gooseneck hauler w/camper?

If you do a camper keep in mind it will probably require a dually unless it's a small light weight unit. Even with a gooseneck it may still be required. The pin weight on my trailer is 3000-3400# depending on what all we have loaded. The rear axle weight is 6800-7300# most single wheel 3/4 ton trucks are rated at 6000 and single wheel 1tons are 7000 and that is for very late model trucks, earlier ones are less.
