What used to be an occasional nuisance going uphill under load is now happening more often and also at highway speeds. What causes this? Is there a rebuild kit that would solve it and how involved would it be to fix, or would I be better off just getting a rebuilt T-case from Tom's?

I used to have the same problem, just to find out I needed to adjust the T shifter bracket. If you have a T shifter loosen up the bracket that holds the shifter plunger in each gear. Then make sure you are in 2Hi and tighten back down. Be sure to check if it works for the other gear ranges as well. Hopefully thats all it is...

Same thing happened to me, only I wasn't driving it at the time. I think it just popped into nuetral by itself while sitting in the driveway. I came home from work one day to find it sitting in the middle of the street. E-cable isn't working yet.
