Transmission Coolers

I am considering installing the trans cooler from BC Broncos using braided line and terminating the hard lines from the C-4 for a number of reasons. My question is, would the stand alone cooler with fan provide adequate cooling without the radiator in line as well? Also, would I expect to see a marked difference in engine temperature running the tranmission fluid through it's own cooler?

Thanks

On the first question, yes, you can run a tranny cooler by itself and not through the radiator. Been running mine like that for 2 years.

On the second question, you probably won't notice a difference in the engine running temp unless you move the tranny cooler completely away from the radiator and ran an electric fan on the tranny cooler itself.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm probably going to fab up some brackets to located under the body and use a skid plate of sorts, to keep it protected from stones/mud/rocks.

Thanks
