Tunnel cover ideas with carpet?

So I’m at the stage of putting in my loop carpet and I’m wondering what to do about the floor shifter tunnel cover. What have you guys done? Pics are appreciated. Painted it, carpeted it, etc

Great question. I too have wondered the best way to do it.

I've seen one installation in which the floor shift cover was not carpeted, but painted to match carpet and placed over the carpet.

Hope to see other solutions.
