I have a Grant #440 steering wheel with the #3285 adaptor kit. I tried installing the turn signal canceller and when I turn it sets off the horn for a milisecond or two. Any mods etc that I could to make it right?
When i installed mine the first time,The wire for the horn shorted out,it was a pia but finally got it right.theres not much area for the wires to come through. Then two weeks later the turn signal cancle switch broke.:'(
If it clicks while turning the wheel, The canceling cam needs to be trimmed down. Follow the instructions on this site Grant steering wheel As for the horn going off, it must be grounding out somewhere. It may be on the plunger or the part that it contacts. I had the same problem but after some thinkering I figured it out. A little modifications later it works fine.
Thanks Mad, I dont think I explained it very well. After a certain number of turns, on the way back it clicks the horn for no more than a milisecond. Ill try the stuff on that site and see what works. If you have any other info let me know. ;D
