Could someone please post some pics of the upper radiator mounts?

I'm in the process of installing stock replacement radiator mounts (since the PO cut the upper and lower mounts out and made his own, they were all F'ed up.) but cant figure out how the uppers work.

I bought the mounts, and brackets from WH, got the lowers in place, but the uppers got me all confuzzzed!

Many Thanks!!

Here's a pic from Wild Horses catalog. Basically the upper mound sits on the inside of the core support, and is bolted through from the front of the core support. There is a bracket that's supposed to be welded onto the inside of the core support to position the upper mounts in place until they get bolted.

Thanks.

I ended up notching the core support and putting the weld on brackets for the upper on the outside of the core support, and drilling a hole for the bolt that the upper mount mounts to . I tried to mount the uppers like is in the pic but it would put the radiator in a wacked out angle and the fan clutch I'm using was only 1/2 inch from the radiator. The way I have it mounted now the clutch is about 1 1/2 - 2 inches away, and the radiator is much more level then it would have been.

Not sure if the '66 with a 6 cyl had a different way of mounting the radiator, but all of the original mounts were gone. I'll snap some pics of how I have it mounted.

Exactly like that. worked out great. I re-messured and the fan clutch is 1 inch from radiator, and the fan blades are 2 inches away.

Some times doing something the wrong way works out better. :p
