Hey guys,

I'm installing a vintage air/BC Broncos a/c setup in my rig. Because of Chuck's new multibracket the compressor is on the opposite side (driver's) then it was. I want to flip the condenser over to put the ports on the driver's side so the hoses will reach. Is this ok? Is there a "up" and a "down" side for a condensor?

Mick

The Vintage Air catalog doesn't say anything about inlet or outlet. The only thing I can tell from the pictures is that the tubes are always horizontal just like you show in your picture. I can't see how flipping it right to left could make a difference. I have an old catalog. Vintage Airs tel# is 1-800 862-6658.

Flipping it side to side is O.K. but not top to bottom. It looks like you also need to replace the top radiator hose.

The mounting brackets are on the wrong side to do this. Yup, I saw the noticed the radiator hose also. Chuck, if this is going to be your standard a/c setup now (with multibracket) you may want to consider having the mounting tabs on the other side. Not sure what I'm going to come-up with; but im sure i'll come up with something.
