Well I did some small projects with stuff I had around the garage. Windshield stiffeners, Grab handles on the front risers of my cage, and a Cross bar with grab handle on my front cage. I thought they came out pretty good.

John,

Nice add-ons. You gave me an idea on the gussets for the windshield stabilizers. Hope you don't care if I use it. Looks great.

Looks 1st rate! Kudos on that weekend project. I think everyone should have a thread on Monday or Tuesday titled "what I did last weekend".
BTW your garage looks like mine on the inside! ;D ;D

i like those grab handles, a perfect place to help you get in. I've got velcro handles at the same location but they just don't feel sturdy enough. i'll be adding those when i pull my cage for line-x.

Yup got to add those grab bars and whiner bar into my plans for when the cage shop gets my junk in there.

As for my idea on running windsheild stiffeners, i was just thinking of running some threaded rod from the A-pillar straight out. Stick a bushing or similar in between and cap off with some fancy nut up front.
