What is the best way to fill in those holes left behind when the trim is removed?

Hi guys
My Bronco is missing all of its trim. I don't want to replace it. I just want to fill in the holes left behind due to its removal. I don't like bondo because it tends to crack within a year or two. Besides welding over each hole what would you recommend? Someone told me to use boiler repair epoxy to fill in those holes. I never used it before. I have heard that it is excellent for repairing boiler leaks but would it work to plug up the holes? Any ideas?

Welding it shut and grinding it smooth is the RIGHT way to do it. There are a lot of other cheap fixes, but do it right and do it once is the best way to go.
