Does anyone know the specs for the hydro carbon and carbon monoxide levels on my 74, inline 6, 200cid? I would like to get my fuel mixture back to specifications and figure doing an oxygen analysis is the only way. Does anyone have any other method to getting that back to spec?

Thank you in advance:-*

That's hitting the ol memory banks there.

I used a 4 gas analyzer years ago to set a few trucks of mine.
I want'a say hydro, on steady throttle was around 500 and co was 10.
But keep in mind the last time I did that was in the late 80s.

Air fuel mixtrue should be around 14.7 to 1 for the best economy and lowest emissions.

Hook up a vacuum gauge to the carbs continuous vacuum port and then turn one sides the air/mix screw all the way in and then slowly turn it back out to get as much vacuum as you can with the gauge then go to the other air/mix screw and do the same. Next slowly go back and forth on each just too see if you can get a little more out of it. That should get you close:)

not dumb he's probably refering to a 2 barrel carb on a v8 instead of a 1 barrel thats on a 6 cyl. Some people miss the little facts. We all do it from time to time.
