What Is the Stock Color for the Hood Release?

Does anyone know what is the stock color for the hood release handle? Black or Wimbledon White with the white grille? Photos of original survivor Broncos just look too rusty to figure out.

Originally, they were dark grey or sometimes black oxide (Like coating on some of the other hardware). Please don't paint it grill color! That screams when I see it!

I think it was hot-dip galvanized (shiny, but not chrome).

My 71 unmolested was black(ish).

The '74 Ranger I had in 1990 had a black hood release. It was all original, except tires, wheels, and flares. Wish I still had that one, body was perfect except a golf ball size dent in the hood.
