So what all do you guys keep in your "onboard" tool kit? I've started driving my Bronco quite a bit and realized that I don't have a good kit with me. Anyone have any lifesavers they'd suggest also?

Thanks!

I carry the basic tools like sockets ans pliers and screw drivers, All the regular tools. The extras are electrical and teflon tape, zip ties, wire, hammer and bungee cords. I have found I need wire nuts the most with my electrical problems while driving. Also a big pry bar has come in handy a few times.

I have a canvas tool bag that goes in any of our vintage cars whenever they venture more than a short trip from home. Most of the stuff I just collected over the years as they were needed for quick repairs:

Simple took kit with basic wrenches, screwdriver, and, VISE GRIPS.
Zip ties, wire coat hangers, duct tape.
Heavy canvas gloves plus a couple of pairs of latex gloves.
First aid kit and road flares.
Radiator hose repair kit (three plastic tubes in various sizes, adhesive, clamps), various belts, some popular bulbs, fuses, spare piece of fuel line and clamps.

But no matter what's in there, something will be needed that I don't have. In that case, AAA card and credit card are always at the ready. ;D
