ONLY HALF OF THE PEOPLE HERE NEED READING GLASSES SO YOU CAN TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK. A friend of mine was telling me one of the popular Bronco mags did a truck with some huge tires and no lift. I think they were 37 -38's but they did some cutting on the inside of the fender wells front and rear , some off the cowl side panel maybe. Maybe someone here remembers this artical. If so, I would like to know what mag and what month / yr it was also.

MR. CAPS-LOCK, yes I think it would work with little rubbing except on the radius arms when turning. The height won't be the problem, just the width. I am almost certain someone else here runs those same tires without a lift and stated the same thing.

2badrotties, I have heard of that but why would someone do it? I can understand the low center of gravity but the lack of flex would negate the heightened ground clearance. It would be better IMO to do like Henrys69 and put on a flexy 3.5" lift and trim enough metal to fit 37's. I'm running (well, they are on the rolling chassis) 5.5" BC/National and 37 SSR's with single RS 9012's and will only have to trim a little to prevent rubbing. I think it will be just the look and performance I'm looking for.

One of the four wheel drive magazines did it I think just to see how big a tire they could put on without a lift. If I had the article I could tell you exactly why they did it. Some people never get a chance to go four wheeling but really like the looks of a huge tire ( maybe I fit in this catagory :-U ) You don't need a lot of flex if you are only driving up and down I-95 ;D
