I realize that one of the 5 are not like the others and that one I am currently seaking more off, but until I get there I am going to use the other 4. They were painted black in a previous life and now I want to get them all shiney again. I am thinking a light blast with low pressure using glass bead. Anyone have any opinion or other options? Love some input here.

Thanks

I would sand blast them and then have them powder coated a nice silver color. They will look great and you will never have to polish them. Just my 2 cents. I hate polishing stuff.

I have seen Randy's wheels and they did come out great! In between the vanes there is black residual paint so I wanted to try and get that off, plus that is a dull finish, with the face of the vanes, the out side lip and where the lugs go being shinny. Just trying to figure out the best way to prep them for polishing. MAybe I will start with power washing them and go from there.

Why not call him first before you do extra work. He can give you a price from the picture and tell what he can and can't do. He did all our slots for $20 each.....so I don't think you'll have to worry about the price.

he does nice work but Pennsylvania?? might as well buy new rims with what shipping will cost..

I think Randy said that the shipping was reasonable. He is away on vacation this week, so I will check in with him when he gets back.

I paid $124 round trip for 4. And $20 a wheel to polish, so $204 complete door to door. The only place around here wanted 100 a wheel......so that would have been $400, which is more than I paid for the wheels.....way too much.....

After trying many different offerings, I have had the most success with busch products (cleaner and polish). I stumbled upon the product at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ at a swap meet and after trying everything from eastwood to eagle products with growing frustration I discovered the busch cleaner and polish and all was good. However, still a ton of elbow grease :p Finally, depending on the detioration, a clay bar. buschshineproducts.com

I'm thinking I will blast them as in between the vanes are supposed to be dull any way. Talked to a body guy who said to wet sand 2000 grit on the face to get the porosity out of it and then buff that. Will see, as I know have slots to use.
