Just a quick shout out to the Bronco family. I went to Ocala Nat'l forrest with my brother and the jeep club. Real nice group of guys but not quite as crazy as the Bronco brothers. Once again I was a half breed stuck in a pure bread world. One lonely Toyota Landcruiser (my '94 FZJ 80) amongst 10-15 Jeeps. Of course, I was welcomed when I had to winch out one of the Jeeps when it was stuck and the other Jeeps couldn't get him.
We stayed at Big Scrub campground which was real nice. The O.N.F. is a cool place but not very challenging. We found one real tough sandy hill to climb but that was it.
The fun was at Hardrock Cycle Park. It's off I75 north of Ocala. You pay $25/vehicle (kinda steep but worth it to me) and you stay as long as you want. The area consists of some pretty steep hill climbs and descents. A short but deep mud pit and a few trails around. Although it's not real big, it's worth going there for the change in terrain. I didn't attempt every obstacle because damage was apparent in some locations but you can drive around pretty much everything if you want. The stock Jeeps couldn't do every obstacle but faired okay. It's really more tecnical and fun to see what our trucks can do under completely different terrains.
PS - I appreciate the fact that you guys let me hang with you all. The resrt of the Landcruiser guys are just lame.
See ya at Corbett. ;D
