Which headers?

Anybody had experience with either the ceramic WH shorty headers or the BC headers?

They both have good reviews. Have a 91 302 HO in my 66. Looking for something that drops in from the top easily enough. Just wondering if the BC's are worth the extra $.

I have the BC headers. Haven't installed them yet so can't say anything about fitment or performance yet. They are quality headers, ceramic coated inside and out, inside looks as good as the outside and this makes a big difference in under hood temps. The reason I went with BC is the 1-5/8" primaries, all other are 1-1/2". Great feature if you need the extra flow. Also, these were the only ones with a big enough opening to match up to the the AFR165 exhaust ports as they are wide. Once I received them and was able to check them out I was glad I spent the extra money over the others, top quality headers.

I've been meaning to ask this question myself, I picked up a pair of ceramic coated headers that a guy was intending to use for his 67 stang w/ a 289. Im confident they will bolt up fine but I didn't think of fitment issues w/ the frame or transfer case. If i get a photo up can anyone tell me if they will work? I'm not worried as I got a good price on them and can always sell them.

ok so heres the best pic i have of them at the moment, lol, they're up in the corner... i try to get a better photo...

I have the Bronco Hut shorties - made by Sanderson...needed them for the GT40P spark plug clearance. only bolted them up with the engine on the engine stand so I cant comment on fit in the bronco yet.

Seem like really good quality though.

I like my BC Broncos ceramic coated headers, great quality.

Having said that, don't use them if you have GT40P heads. While they may fit (just barely) the clearance issue with spark plugs isn't worth it. I have had to change spark plug wires 3 times due to boots being burnt to a crisp. Finally found a set of plug wires that will survive but getting the plugs in and out is a pain.........and forget tryin to do a compression test.

Again, great quality and they fit GT40 and other heads great !

X2 on the Sanderson headers. I have mine installed on a non GT-40P head on they fit great. I'm planning the 5.0 swap in the next month or so and don't see any fittment issues.
Couldn't find my pictures but I think they are posted in my doghows LUBR thread.

I see BC Broncos has the ceramic headers plus a 2 into 1 exhaust kit to go behind it clear to the muffler. Do they also supply a tailpipe from the muffler back?

I got B C Broncos Headers and they are awesome. My cousin helped me with my build and was totally impressed with the quality.

Are any of you guys running your headers with a 4r70w transmission?

I've been running BC's headers for several years now behind my 418 with a 4r70W/KluneV/Atlas4.3

They fit great on the Trick Flow CNC 205 heads. Wish the primaries and collectors were larger, could really use the flow.

Not sure what header bolts they supply with them now, but make sure you get a longer bolt than they used to supply with them. With the thick 3/8" flange, a soft header gasket and mix in alum heads and you want a longer bolt to catch as much thread as you can!

Stage 8's won't fit but I'm surprised at how the thick lock washers BC supplied work so well. I'm a believer in Stage 8's and used them on many headers w/o a single issue.
