can somebody please tell me the exact dimensions of the glass for my windshield ? I bought a new gasket and I am going to get a new windshield , but I don't want to remove the old one just yet because it is winter and I don't want the howiebilt sittin' around with no glass while the guys make my new one . To make this all happen without a glitch , i need to know how tall and how wide . So what I'm really trying to say is ... anyone , anyone Bueller ? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Howie I don't know off the top of my head, but I do know that the local auto glass folks should be able to look it up for you. When I got mine replaced I called them and told them I needed a windshield, he told me he'd have to cut it himself since it was flat, next day he showed up with the windshield, I'm quite sure he didn't have an EB out back to be able to measure.

Howie, Just happen to have one standing in the corner "bout a year now" The glass has rounded edges however I used a stright edge to get the exact measurements so here you go.
Bottom length 56 1/4
Top length 53 7/8
Height 16 1/2

Cheers! ;)

Thanks everyone ! I would agree with you Allen 69 , however , when I asked them to price a windshield for my 76 bronco , they said $375 and I said nevermind . Then they looked at the bronco and said "Hey , that's just flat glass isn't it ?" and I said yes and they said "just get us the measurements and we can cut one for $72.50 "......... and that is how we got to this stage in the game .

Wow $375 I paid $134 installed for a tinted one earlier this year, I mean last year. One place wanted $150 just for the glass but no $375 at least they hooked you up. $72 is a great deal.

About 2 years ago I replaced the windshield in mine. I mail ordered the rubber seal, and drove it to the shop. $55 for the glass with the install included.

Great price ManTruck.

I got mine a month ago from Henderson Glass (local chain) for $115. They seemed to have it in stock, but said they could also cut it.

Come to think of it.. they said "it's like the windshield in a jeep right?" %)

Man how things have changed , I used to pick up parts for the Lincoln -Mercury dealer in the late 50's . The glass shops all had paper patterns to work from. Not a lot of call for flat glass anymore I guess. It pays to shop around from the prices I'm seeing .

WTF?

I had mine replaced for free! Here in Florida, if you have a crack in your windshield that is more than 3 inches your Insurance company is obligated to replace it (including the gasket) for no deductible.
