Hi Guys,

I'm starting my full rewire with the painless kit. I'd prefer not to buy their wire loom and tape kit, who do you recommend for wire loom and tape? Where do you buy it? What sizes loom and lengths will I need for the full Bronco rewire. I have the 28 switch kit with a dual battery kit. I will have a winch, LED driving lights, High lights up top, rocker lights, heated seats, power windows, full stereo, refrigerator, hot shower, etc. Smallest RV made ;D

Hoping guys with experience with high temp tape chime in. Thanks, Forrest

Tesa tape... Can buy on Amazon. Usually a package of 5 rolls.

There is a High heat - Engine compartment
Lower temp for - inside

Great stuff, highly recommend it...

you can source the braided loom on amazon FWIW. its all easy to use especially with the tools designed for the loom. 1/4" loom on the other hand will try your patience but not all that difficult

Definitely the way to go, Tesa tape and braided loom. Also don't cheap out on electrical tape 3m only. Look up how to correctly wrap electrical tape so that it stays tight and doesn't unravel. Trust me its worth it.

www.ceautoelectricsupply.com if you want to support small business and give Amazon a break.

Good to know about the tesa tape. I thought at one time, Del City carries different types of loom tape, but couldn’t find any in their catalog. They carry all kinds of loom. To the people that have done it, are you using loom, then tesa tape over the top? When I have wired up trailers or something on the farm, I use the common split loom, but need to wrap with electrical tape every few feet along the loom.

I used a wrap of tape at the two ends of my braided loom for cleanliness. You do need to singe the cut end with a lighter to keep it from fraying and use sharp scissors

Being Type A, I take this one step farther and use lined shrink tubing on the braided ends.

Done the same on split loom, but only the higher heat version of split loom..

Most of the wiring I do it on, you can't see after everything is installed.
But, here is an example... 66 Chevelle that I rewired.
