Looking to paint my dash. Thinking about not spraying it gloss. Have it epoxied and 2K and sanded. Don't really want to just put an Aerosol over that but looking for a good sprayable paint that gives the wrinkle look.

Any suggestions?

I cant remember the brand right off but I had good results with some motorcycle engine wrinkle paint years ago on my old race bike.Hard to keep clean though.

I think I'd go hammered instead of wrinkled for a complete dash if you want some texture. I went with a matte finish on my trail rig. Stock parchment was actually a low gloss finish.

Are you planning to take the rig off road? If you wrinkle paint it and go off road the dust and dirt will make it look crappy all the time. Very hard to keep wrinkle paint clean.

I like the hammered look put dont know if it is available in a good paint other than Rustoleum.

Have not looked at Zolatone.

Why not have it powdercoated in a hammer finish? Looks great and holds up really good.

I did hammered on mine years ago. It was ok. Then when I wanted to paint it to match my body...what a pain in the..., to get it smooth again. Just saying

The wrinkle is a pain to keep clean and catches lint & rags. I had a dash done that way and ended up doing plasti-kote over top of it.

ALSA has some cool paints and finishes. Rustoleum comes out nice.

I've had paint wrinkle on me in my career because of a bad reaction to the substrate. I never would have thought someone would want that look

Cant really powder coat becuase the dash has been cut and reworked and has some filler in it. Think I wil just go with a regular two part gloss paint.

Thanks,
