• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I have a 97 explorer 5.0 and 4r70w that I'm planning to swap into an older 2wd f150. I plan to keep the pickup 2wd so I need a 2wd output shaft and tailhousing. I'm hoping someone here has converted their 2wd trans to 4wd and still has the parts lying around. I'd prefer one with the speed sensor but efi guy said he can flash my computer so it doesn't need the sensor.

Another option for you is to find a park brake from a ZF. The F-Superdutys used a 4x4 ZF, but bolted a park brake to the tail housing, converting it to a 2wd. With this, you could convert your F150 to rear discs and still have a park brake.

I'll have to research the park brake. I've never heard that before.

Here's some pictures I found of one. However, folks on ebay seem to think they are made of gold - most are asking around $1000 for them!

yeah, i'm seeing some crazy prices for those. You'd think it would be pretty easy to machine a housing and fixed yoke setup for those. I really don't need a parking brake there.

Yeah, at that price I don't think I'd need one either. Would be a sweet setup though.
