For those of you with 66 and 67 EB doors, can you post some pics on the board showing the main differences between the later doors? Would like to see the window frames-how they remove and the striker areas especially. Thanks to anyone that puts out the effort.

I have the frames out of my doors now. I can take pictures and post tomorrow. Is there something peticular....measurements?

The window frame pull out by removing 5 bolts (I think)
2 on each end of the doors and 1 on the inside (near the windwing)

I am at work and won't be home till late. But I am off tomorrow and can get you shots of what ever you need?

FATHOM,

Thanks for the help. Any pics you can take would be great especially with the frames off. I won a bid for a set of 66 doors off Ebay to put on my 74 and I know I will need to do some modifications. I'm trying to see the main differences of the earlier doors compared to mine. Also, I've never seen how the removable door frames look or work so I just want to make sure spending big bucks on these doors is worth it.

If you can send me the following shots I would be greatful.

Inside door shot
Top of door w and w.o windo frame if possible
Areas of the bolts to remove frame
Shot of door striker areas
Any other shot you think might be helpful

Thanks in advance! :)

FATHOM,

Thanks for those great pics. I'm not laughing. :-X Hey, put those doors up for sale and see how many people want to buy them and then we'll see who is laughing.

I'm going to try and post the few pics the seller sent me. I guess I learned something very valuable with your pics.

YOU CAN'T KEEP THE WINDOWS IN THE DOOR WITH THE TOP WINDOW FRAME REMOVED!

I was kinda hoping you could remove the top frame and leave the windows in to give the Bronco a cleaner look.

Guess that's not possible. Thanks again for the pics.

I left my glass in the door, it rattles around.
Took a female friend on the freeway.
First thing she did was try to roll up the window while I was changing lanes and did not notice.

I thought the glass was going to fly! It was almost all the way out, with no support.

I need to rebuild the weatherstripping and anti rattle strips. Then you might be able to leave them in.

But don't roll them up! ;D
