Brakes get grabby the more you drive

You mentioned all new parts. Were the rubber hoses new. Old hoses can degrade on the inside and the swelling limits the ability of the fluid to move back to the master cylinder. The same can be said for the master cylinder. If there is trash in the system, it can block an internal valve..

Can't get WH brake proportioning valve to center

Double check and make sure that you have plenty of grease for the pins and in the slides for the pads. I personally like sil-glyde, but others products will work. Pad dragging will transfer heat and some products are not as heat tolerant.

    302 Manual Radiator Replacement

Make sure that your heater is on and is working. Test this before you start replacing radiator. You have a valve on the heater hose that allows water to flow to the heater core. You need to flush the heater core along with the block. Prestone makes a flush and fill kit where you add a tee...

Column mount Tach w/ GPS Speedo?

That is going to be a difficult find. For that combination, the speedometer should be the dominant gauge. Have you looked at the vender's options? There are some digital options that may give you what you want. If your speedometer works, I would suggest just using a column mounted tach.

Bronco won’t start- need your help!

Let me through a vote against towing it to a shop unless you have absolute confidence in the mechanic. This is a 50+ year old vehicle that has been modified. There are not may 30 year mechanics who have experience with these vehicles and they are used to the computer telling them which part to...

    Vacuum Wiper rebuild

I remember someone using a thin gasket material and RTV to create the seal. There used to be a rebuild kit with gaskets and a paddle rebuild kit.

Bronco won’t start- need your help!

Did I miss the results of a battery test. You can still read 12 volts on a bad battery if there is no load. The battery needs to be load tested. If you don't have enough juice,, fixing a wire will not solve the issue. It does sound like the fusible link is the issue, but before I started...

    Ignition switch frustration

It sounds like there is an issue with the wiring or connections that may get shifted when remove the tumbler. Intermittent wiring issues are hard to find. If you decide to go down the push button route, it is relativity easy. There are a number of aftermarket switches. I would suggest wiring...

Fuel gauge operating in wrong direction

Looks like you understand how to check resistance. Do the same with the engine hot and cold for temperature sender. That will rule out the sensor. Once you get the point of pull the gauges out of the dash, add a temporary ground wire and check the voltage on the gauges. I would run temporary...

    A Little Help

Broncos are like bad girlfriends. Just when you think you have gotten rid of your last headache, another one comes around. Hate to hear that finished, but you don't have to leave. Some of the threads are kinda entertaining and you can always share your past experience. Are you putting your...

    Anyone use BMW seats?

Since it is a 4 door, I assume that the seats do not lever to allow the seat to fold forward. Do you need to have access to the back seat?

MY GURL ran yesterday but wont start today

A couple of thoughts: Make sure that you have a duraspark ignition. Look for the duraspark ignition module. It should be a grey box with two plugs. It is possible that the engine and/or the ignition system may be changed by a Previous Owner. I don't know the duraspark system very well, but...

    duraspark connectors

The male side is the housing piece win a pin that sticks out and the female is the housing piece with a fitting for the pin to be stuck into. The plastic housing around the pins is ignored, which is what typically causes the confusion when people are trying to figure out if it is a male or...

Stupid to get rid of A/C?

I am sure that several people would be willing to take it out for you. The real problem is that is probably a little bit of a hassle to remove everything and you are going to have a couple of holes when you remove the lines and a couple of loose wires to cap. The one good reason to remove it...
