performance of aftermarket electric wipers vs stock?

Do the aftermarket electric motors work as well as the stock electric motor and linkage? Thinking about the marine motors and the delay switch to get them to sync. Backstory: I'm getting near the next incarnation of my Bronco and I've come across the fact that my cage won't allow me to use...

    Nv3550 cross member issue

For those that have done the nv3550 install - how much work did you need to do to get the cross member to fit? I was test fitting everything today and the cross member at the top of the flanges is 3/16 wider than the inside of the bottom of my frame. If I flip it over to check at the...

Before I pull the trigger on new adapters for a NV 3550 install (small block ford and Dana 20) - I figured I'd see if someone had the parts they wanted to get rid of. PM me here if so.

max drop on 3.5" deaver springs (articulated)

Does anyone know the max droop you can get out of a pair of 3.5" lift deaver springs? (and still have at least some weight on the tire). I'm resurrecting my Bronco and with the suspension changes I have made (lowered some), I don't have room for my 12" short body bilsteins in the rear. The...

whats happened around here the past 2 years or so?

decided to start checking the board out again after a hiatus. Couldn't afford to work on my Bronco and didn't want to rub salt in the wound by reading about others that were. Seems like lots of cool build threads now, most vendors are still around it seems and a few new ones...

Replace oil pump in AOD tranny?

I'm pretty sure my oil pump is toast in my AOD; unfortunately I don't have time to send it back and have it repaired under the lifetime warranty before the Moab Safari. so how hard is it to replace the oil pump? Is it right at the front or do I have to disassemble the entire transmission...

    BRONCO Moab '06 - Great time !

Was a great time as usual! - Unfortunately it seemed to be the highest $$ breakage one yet. 2 D60 r&P (on the same rig), 2 D60 35 spline front shafts, 8-9 1310 driveshaft ujoints, 9" r&P, 2 D20 outputs, 2-3 9" yokes.. That’s all I know of, but I think there was more. As soon as I get my camera...

wierd efi issue - hall sensor?

Finally got the Bronco running and out of the garage and am pulling my hair out over an electrical issue. The eninge is really ahrd to start - takes 4-6 times to get it to fire then I have to feather the throttle to keep it running for ~5 min and then it will idle. The most annoying part is...

    12v to cycle an injector?

I pulled my injectors last night while doing some work and I know that one of the solenoids is bad, but in my haste forgot to mark which one. Rather than installing them and figuring it out with the engine harness, can I just use some jumpers and 12v to cycle the solenoids until I find the bad one?

    Moab - Bronco 40th/10th Bronco Safari - May 7-13

It's getting really close! Time for the 10th annual Bronco Safari in Moab which is also being coordinated as part of the coast to coast 40th anniversay of the Ford Bronco. This is a laid back event when compared to the other 40th events as only trail rides and a raffle are planned; beyond that...

More LED Rock Light Pics (comparison)

I did a comparison to three different LED lights from SuperBrightLEDs and one from Roundeyes. All four of the lights were mounted to the bottom of one of my rock slider braces ~26" above the ground. All of them were mounted in the same place and connected directly to a battery with the same...

    How to cycle injectors??

I'm running through my SEFI setup and seem to have a stuck injector (stuck open) as it dumps fuel when I turn the pumps on and unfortunately I loaned my books out so I can't reference them right now. Is there any way I can cycle the injectors like you can the fuel pumps through the diagnostic...

Does anyone know the spline count of the AOD output shaft and length of the output shaft (how far it sticks out from the AOD) from AA? I'm looking into different T-case options, but need the above info to figure out adaptability.

    40th in Moab

Hey guys - There are two dates that are looking to be the best dates for the 40th in Moab next year - 23-39 April or 07-13 May. April may have a slight chance of snow and MAy will most likely be hot to very hot - or both could be great mild weather :p If you are thinking about going, could...

    need a measurement

Does anyone know what the distance is supposed to be from the floor boards to the cowl? Maybe a measurement from the floor next to the front door post to the screw on the outside of the dash that holds on the dash pad? Now that I have my new cage in it's apparent that the cowl sagged do to...
