What we know as the "Roadster Mirror" was not just used on Roadsters. It was actually the standard mirror, and the door mounted mirror was supposed to be an upgrade. Oddly, it is very uncommon to see anything besides a U13 with them on.

Probably not the 6th ever built, but the 6th that we know of.

Bronco Junkie, good one! ;D

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what's up with the mirrors, but that is always the first thing people ask about if they know Broncos. I just chalk it up to uniqueness.

Since I was a kid my dad and I have made it our source of father/son quality time and here we are 23 years later still working on it and having fun with it. I hope to do the same with my kids some day.

I spoke to a gentleman tonight who has a 66 U13 with U12 stamped on the frame. They have narrowed it down to tuesday-thursday of week 3 of production.

Couldn't say, but he sounded convinced of it. The story I got is that there was one shift that was working Econolines and Broncos. The Econolines were E12 designation, and this one shift was errantly stamping Bronco frames with U12.

Two 50 year old girls reunited...

I had to go take this picture while I had the chance. It's not too often 2 broncos built the first day of production get together. 732036 and 723158 #2 and #7 on this list. Probably haven't seen each other since August of 1965

Thanks JG. That's what it's registered as, but with no backup lights and the flat-edged '66 only bumpers, I was wondering.
Probably just replaced with said pieces later, or perhaps those were still showing up on '67's after all?

I've seen many like that. Pretty sure they used those parts till they were gone.
