So yea..... this is the "good frame" I was sold. Seriously unhappy with the bronco I bought. A lot of money for someone on disability. Don't even know where to go from here.

Not sure what member you bought it from but were you led to believe it was in better condition? You said the frame VIN matches the title but looking at those frame pics...do you have a pic of the frame stamp? Frame VINs are hard enough to read on smooth frames, however the stamp in the engine bay is usually 'preserved' by oil and grime.

Hopefully the seller is following this thread and was unaware of the true condition and will contact you, though I have no idea what you paid. Good luck brother.

Frame vins cleaned up well and match. I doubt he is following, or cares. It's a buyer beware world, and I just drew the short straw I guess. Rear 15 inches or so of frame are shot. Front left frame mount is shot and severely bent back as though it was hit. Hopefully I can find a place to do the repairs for a reasonable price.

The drivers side body mount bracket is supposed to be bent like that. Something about to clearance the steering box

That frame stamp looks really good actually, much better than mine, many were not stamped very deep and therefore hard to make out.

Ah, interesting. The hole is still completely worn out and needs to be replaced anyway

Thank you! For some reason I couldnt find these anywhere and only saw the whole mount which would be $30 shipped. These would be much cheaper and have left overs in case any other mounts are rounded out!

OMG, that is exactly what I need! There is a member on here giving away a frame, I think im 2nd in line for it. Guess I may just need to keep looking to get the same piece of frame and get it welded in.

Again, thank you so so much. Wish I had stumbled across your tub before I got in a mess with the 67. I cant wait to get the frame cleaned up and body on! Gonna be a long road, but as long as I keep plugging away a little here and there, Ill git'er done

Got the front axle off. Still have the rear to remove. Cannot believe how much my dad and I got done while he is in town. Huge help having him here. The front axle had a small hole in the top, and a lot of water seemed to leak out. Was it supposed to have a plug to fill it? Do you think it's gonna be shot with water inside? Dressed the pup up for Halloween, she was thrilled.

Got a pic of the hole? It's probably where the vent tube should be, quite sure both axles should have them

and yeah...dog looks stoked ;D

Well, my body has been in straight recovery mode since dad left last week. I cannot believe how long it is taking to recover. I am trying to listen to my body and keep resting. No updates to the project, but Friday my wife and I are going to pick up a donor frame. Hoping to get my frame repaired at a reasonable price, but will not skimp out on labor for such an important aspect of the project. It may just have to wait a while before I can afford it. In the meantime, Ill just try to work on smaller stuff. My VIN tag came in from Martis, and I know its a longggggggg way away, but I am super excited with the idea of putting it on someday

Big thank you to Crawln68, for hooking me up with a rear section of Frame! Picked it up last week along with a new puppy. I need to find a welder who can weld the frame now so I can finally get a foundation to build on.
I got a set up beat up hubcaps to try at breathing some life back into them. I removed the red paint and sprayed green stained glass paint. I haven't decided if I like it yet. It looks like a green jolly rancher. I think it may be a cool subtle touch to the truck once done

Got the rear axle out. Gonna have to cut the leaf springs off, then the frame is bare and ready for it's "implant." Going to need new rear shock mounts added to the new frame since the originals are shot. Can't wait to get it welded so I can clean it up and por15 it!

A vent tube would make sense given where the hole is. A lot of water came out, eventually I will open it up and see the damage....
