WOW Jimmy that's beautiful!!!! Something so classic/timeless/and elegant as black on black. Although I think a steering wheel with a horn ring and stroppe padding would really set off that interior!!!

You better make that new one you bought the wife just as nice or she will feel less important. ;)

I'd love to have a Stroppe wheel! That's one of the few rare parts I haven't been able to grab. It may end up with the horn ring, not for sure.

You may have a point there.

Finally got moved in to my house, and have some time to work on the '73! Today we got the new and freshly tinted back glass in with the polished trim. Also have the passenger seat in, and the visors on and looking good. Interior is pretty much done except for cleaning.

That black '73 looks great! What is that sitting on the right side of the Nightmare?

Not what I wish it was, or what you may be thinking! :p

It's a '72 U14. It's actually one of the straightest ones we have. Needs paint and a little bit of rust repair but it's a decent little driver.

I just saw red, white and blue... That's a bicentennial painted half cab! That's cool and more rare than your '66 U13!

Yes it is! It was originally Mallard Green and will be going back that color.

Exactly right Dave. It was definitely worth it though. Especially since I'm close to the shop again.

Dropped it back off at the paint shop today to fix a few little scratches we put in it. We tried hard to be careful, but it's very hard to prevent it with this much work going on. Accidents still happened. Hopefully it'll be back in a couple weeks. Snapped a pic before we loaded it.

It's back from touch up, and we are back in action. Put the steering stabilizer on, the driver's fender trim, and tuned the carb. Had one blinker not working, and found the issue. Hopefully it's fixed. Needs some cleaning and wheels and tires in a bad way, but that's coming soon.

Got the new wheels and tires on today and began the cleaning process. Still like some polishing and detailing but hopefully that'll be done next weekend. Overall it's turning out good!
