The guys from Painless are getting my Bronco this week to develope a new harness for the Early Bronco. I can't tell you how excited I am about it. I have a 71' Sport. My fuse block is in the glove box. They let me know they are reengineering thier current harness based on feedback from all of you! You can veiw my build thread to see the detail associated with my 71'. If you see anything missing that you feel is important, then post it here! I will happily share any photos and information about the new harness after the install!

They are in Fort Worth! Trust me, when I say that I feel lucky! I should not get too ahead of myself, they haven't taken my truck yet  . They could easily change their mind and take yours!

Sounds like they got a lot of response to this! I think that they chose mine because I am the closest one to them with a driving rig. :)

They can send out the 1st prototype to me in Hawaii once it's made and I'll test it and make sure the instructions and wiring is all good......

I believe Jeff, one of their reps should be seeing this.... Hey, it's me Honorio from Honolulu..... ;D

Painless Harness

Gentlemen,

I can see we've got ya'll stirred up a bit. The post about how close the '71 Bronco is, is what determined who's Bronco we picked. We won't change our mind and we will be picking it up this week.

We are looking forward to having a harness all of you can be happy with.

There will be more on this subject as the project progresses. When we have a question for you guys, I'll post a picture and the question.

Cheers,

Gee Thanks, now you took all the guess work out of what Harness I want to go with. It is great to see another vendor that proves they want what is best for the consumer. Kudo's to Painless!!

Man, just my luck. I just bought one of the 14 circuit harnesses!!! Any chance they'd take it unopened towards the new one when it comes out? I probably won't be installing until this winter at best. Darn it!

14 ciruit? Is that the really old one? Seabiscuit68 just installed mine a few months ago (20 circuit) he'd be one to ask about the weird stuff. I know that there were some issues on how painless wanted the wire run and to cut another hole (rather than using the oem holes) to run the wires.

This excites me. I'll be in the market for a harness about the time they get done with engineering it....hopefully.

Kudos to Jeff and Painless for looking out for us.

So they are only focusing on the later crowd? I would like to see another kit for the early years since the harness enters the engine compartment different on the early years as compared to the later one.

I mean everyone has a kit for the later broncos. By being unique you might sell more.
