Well shame on me cause it has been since March that I've had the time to work on my "one-of-a-kind" bronco project. Seems as if a recent event has spurred both myself and my sweetie "BMC" aka: Bill, to get back on track to getting this thing built.

Okay, for those that don't know the story, check out original thread here
http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117214

...it started back in March like this.

Did some work to it and left it sit for past six months looking like this.

Well yesterday I got out the sand blaster and went to work.

So you're doing all that nice work just to build up a truck for Bill?
He's right. You ARE sweet! Nice shop too. Good for working late into the night without dragging drop-lights all over the place.

Can't wait for the next installment.

Okay so tomorrow was delayed by a couple days....LOL

The next thing we attacked was the axles. Here is a fullsize Dana 44 high pinion that of course needs to be modified for the EB.

Questions:
You only cut one side of the axle tube?
After shortening the housins, is the inner axle shaft a custom shaft?
Where do you source the axle shaft?
Do you know that chicks with grinders are hot?

Your shop is messy, which is a good sign work is being done there;D

Correct on cutting one side.....the long side which brings it down the the same size as an original EB axle, thus the axle shaft for a standard EB will now fit just right.

We will be going with F150 or fullsize bronco axle outers (knuckles out) in order to upgrade to disc brakes.

Chicks with grinders are very hot if they accidently catch their hair on fire! Snicker Snicker

So the fullsize dana 44 you used did not have the discs already?
I have a 79 F150 back in Kansas that has front Dana44 with discs and Ford 9" in the back. These will probably get harvested for my 75, especially now that I see how it's done.

Well the front did have the outsides but someone who lives here seems to have a harvesting parts problem. He is getting treatments but he is far from cured at this time. LOL

Oh yeah and I was trying yesterday to load my pics but had to try and clean up my computer by running this Pack 3 upgrade and it locked up. I got it running again but by that time I was tired of messin with it.

As for today, as well as tomorrow, I am extremely busy so I'll do my best to post something up of last weekends progress...on Friday which will be just in time to start taking more pics and doing more work on it for this weekend. LOL

I hope you used spring paint on those front coils! If you used just regular spray paint it will crack off when they flex.

Well I guess I need to drag the 68 back to the Island so you two can get started on it now.... and for doing so, Myself and (I'll make) Lisa go topless the next time we're over....

Oh, and Bill.... Lisa just tried the grilled PB&J sandwich, and said it was good....
