After a month of doing odds and ends on my bronco (some more in depth the others) I just went for a 30 mile ride with zero issues or tow bills! This is my first bronco and didn't know if I would ever get it road worthy where I could trust it would bring me home.

It's sunny and 90 in Detroit today, that's not what makes it a beatiful day!

;D;D;D;D;D;D;)

It's funny what you find in a "rebuilt" carb according to to the PO. Just needs to be run he said, probaly bad gas. So I replaced the fuel filter after replacing rear tank and sending unit.

I found a chunk of something that was getting sucked over a the jet . I guess I learned to recheck every think no matter what I was lead to belive.

I even replaced to kick down lever seal. No more puddle on the floor!

Wow.....I might even say its a driver now......took two rides no issues!

Had a small crowd around it at the kids game.....lots of compliment. Almost feels worth the busted knuckles and late nights.

That's cool! I know exactly what you mean, my wife tells everyone that she's my chase vehicle! Congrats on getting her road worthy!

been busy

Well I have been getting things done on the truck over the past few months. I have had the trans rebuilt, t case gone over. New exhaust, new brakes from the booster all the way back!, Rear shocks, Resealed intake & valve covers. Rear axel bearing and seals. New rear tank and sending unit. Re-wireing alot of the truck so every thing is working properly. New steering wheel and tach thanks to a (thanks To rmiller747's left overs), carpet hold downs, seat belts (po might be sns cousin up north, not sure ) rebuilt the tailgate hinges and latches. The family cage is now in (thanks Tom from the bronco ranch). I then started cleaning things up and refinishing things. I can't even count the hours of wire wheel and degressing, with no lift mind you, i have more time on my back then a working girl. As of right now i am in the engine bay. I will snap some more pictures to show progress in the next day or two but here are some before pictures, then in the next post i will show some after pictures.

The little blurry picture is what i drove 5 hours one way to go look at. according to the ad it was frame off every thing works....not so much. My wife was most impressed with the duct tape.

This is what i started with:
