Above is how it started with my son...got ready to rewire and took out the steering wheel, then the seats for easy access. Then came out the dash. Well, we were standing there looking at the rusty tub and I lost my mind and said..."We're half way to having everything taken apart. I have a fiberglass tub in the driveway, why don't we just restore this sucker"!

We are now in the process of a body off restoration! I will send the pics later and please wish us luck!

Very cool. My 4 year old has already laid claim to the "rainbow" 74 bronco in the back yard. Then he graciousily told me my 73 would go to his little 1 year old brother. So I went from 3 broncos to 1 in short order.
Good luck with your build.

Encourage them, my grandfather started me on small engines when I was about 3. By the time I was 5 I had restored a Honda mini bike and he and I restored a vintage Jaguar from probably 12 till I could drive, then it became my car. I am doing the same thing with each of my kids, my 6 year old and I are working on the Bronco together I will turn it over to him when he is old enough and I will do a project with each one of them. The nice part is instead of them just learning to keep some beater running for their first car, the work they put into it actually builds some value. It also makes them drive more careful because they value the sweet and blood they have put into the vehical.

Out with the cancer on the frame and in with the new metal. Of course i read the debate on wether or not to do this after it was done. Got to be better than it was!

Little man is learning to paint! I guess the good news is since he will be doing most of the paint that I broke down and bought a respirator! Good ole por15! Put a top coat of black tractor paint after the por15 but no picks

Went to Putin disks and glad we did! Lifted her up and the entire wheel almost fell off! Wonder how long it was like that when I was driving it years ago

Kind of sad to be restoring this beast and putting the old engine back in. Just can't justify the funds right now. Everything is costing more than budget as it is

Looks like you are making quick work of it. It took me 3 months just to get the running gear blasted, painted and reassembled on my project. I know what you mean about funds... Never quite enough is there?
