So, after spending the last few years stalking the forums and reading everyone else's build threads I finally decided to purchase my first Bronco in June of 2013.
Since then I have spent most of the past year scavaging the junkyards and pulling parts for upgrades that I've seen here on CB. Well now that I have a garage full of parts I've finally gotten to the point where I can start assembling everything into something that looks like a bronco again.

Here we go! Thanks and Gig Em!

The beginning: I had a lot more pictures of the dissasembly but my iPad that had all of these pictures was stolen out of my work truck and these are what I've been able to locate since then.

This is right after I got the bronco home along with a few shots of my hired help.

Looks like a good start with great help. As said before, OCBR is a great time. You really should try to make it even if your Bronco isn't ready. There are always lots of empty seats and everyone is very friendly.

I've been learning a lot as I've been going on this but my mechanical skills are nowhere near what are needed to tackle a build such as this so I recruited my good buddy (by supplying lots of suds) to help me out.

Here are a few pics of the motor we've redone and cleaned up to power this beast.

Nice Rig, Mine has the same rust spot on the hood, think they must be battery explosion twins…
Gig Em is right…I got the bills to prove it…

Good eye, ya there is a little sheet metal repair I need to do to fix that one. Overall other than the rocker panels she is pretty solid, not a whole lot of rust.

I might try to make it then, as soon as I run it by the warden(wife)

Not for sure…I’m in the middle of a 5.0 swap myself, but I think some guys swap these pulley’s because of the frame cross member clearance. Are you also planning to swap the oil pans?
Keep posting, interested in the distributerless 5.0 set-up..

Well I'll have to see, I bought the extreme motor mounts to lift it up a bit. Hopefully it will give me enough clearance along with the 3.5" SL.

Ha ha, I was waiting for someone to say something about that! Don't worry, once I get to the body I'll be stripping off that godawful color! J/k:p;D

Gary,
He rescued it from the wrong side of the tracks. I'm sure that color will have to go. :)

There are a lot of Bronco Brothers right there in the local area. I just moved from Cibolo about a year ago myself (Military). Can't wait to see this one completed.
