A few pics from a couple of weeks ago between Buena Vista and Gunnison Colorado. Headed over Hancock Pass to the Alpine tunnel then over a few more passes and back to Buena Vista. Last image is overlooking the Arkansas River near Browns Canyon.

Wow, the memories that brings back!! Spent a summer living in Buena Vista working as a rafting guide on the Arkansas River. Another beautiful pass out of BV is Tin Cup Pass. Love the pics!

Beautiful country! This is precisely the kind of adventure I'd like to plan my rigs capabilities around, thanks for the inspiration. Did you have any issues?

Got a dependable rig, preferably fuel injected? Then what are you waiting for? I've done all of the passes in these pics in my 3/4 ton crew cab tow rig with ease. Don't over think it, get a guide book and maybe gazeteer and go have FUN.

here's a guide book that I highly recomend

Everyone thinks they have to have some magical built rig to go do this stuff and you don't, it just has to be dependable and comfortable for you to drive.

Awesome pics! It is on my bucket list to go offroad out west. Living on the east coast the idea of wheeling with no one else around is a dream!
