OCBR & BRONCORESUE.ORG - KATRINA RELIEF EFFORTS

OKLAHOMA CLASSIC BRONCO ROUNDUP has joined the BRONCORESCUE.ORG relief effort for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Over 60 Bronco owners belonging to Bronco clubs from southern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are among those victims. Some of them have lost everything. A group of Bronco clubs and Bronco vendors, through BroncoRescue.org, are helping these victims re-establish their lives. The vendors are matching funds raised by this group, making every dollar donated worth $2.25.

OCBR is a totally volunteer, once-a-year event, just for fun. We have never attempted to make a profit. But, this year - WE WANT TO MAKE A PROFIT! And every dollar of profit we make will go to BroncoRescue.org.!

How can you help? REGISTER for the event, if you haven’t. Get your friends to register. We will welcome last minute registrations – come to Hot Springs and register there. We will have plenty of food for our last-minute arrivals and do a second printing of t-shirts if we need to.
And when you get there – JOIN IN THE RAFFLE! The prizes are terrific this year and you will help raise money for a good cause at the same time!

QUESTIONS? 918-628-6600 - SEE YOU IN HOT SPRINGS!

Parts Donation

Is there a way to have a place to donate EB parts that we would
like to donate for folks to buy and donate the money to the EB Katrina Relief?

Never in my life have I found so many good people in one place at one time as at OCBR, and this is just another reason I can say so.

If you ever needed an excuse to celebrate all that is good in spite of whatever else, this is it.

Here is a link to what Robbie is talking about

http://broncorescue.org/

And for even more reason now I look forward to seeing you all there

What a tremendous effort by the Oklahoma Classic Bronco's to do. You guys (and gals, sorry) always have outdone yourselves every year that I've been there. Now to do something in addition to the norm is wonderful on your part. I can't wait until the end of Sept and will put in a few more raffles this year. I'm glad to help if I can.

See ya in 18 days

I Have Some Neat Stuff To Bring To The OCBR Round Up That Will Be Either In The Raffle Or We Will Auction Them Off. Which Ever We Think Will Bring In The Most Money. The Money For The OCBR Items On Ebay At This Time Will Also Go Into The Fund For Bronco Rescue. I Have A Couple Of The Blue Key Chains From Last Years OCBR That Will Be In The Auction, A New Quart Bronco Oil Can That I Have Had Made. A Few JL Yellow Broncos, Also A Green One.

I saw your message on the cb.com board and need more information before I can answer you. Have you been to the RoundUp before? I hate to tell anyone that we can't do something that would help the cause, but I have some concerns.

Because we rent the tent and tables, and eat, etc. in the tent, any donations to the raffle have to be spotlessly clean. For example, we have a donation of rebuilt driveshafts, but they have all new parts and have been painted, etc.

We have tried a couple of times to let people bring parts to sell outside the tent, but they always left to go 4wheeling. I just get too busy to keep track of two areas, and because the park is not closed to outsiders, there is a risk that they would be stolen.

We have always told people that they are welcome to bring parts and sell them themselves from their truck or trailer. If you take pictures and print off flyers, you are welcome to put the flyers on the registration desk (we have had people sell trucks that way). I would be happy to work up a bulletin board for sale items. You could then donate the money - sell the parts and buy tickets for the raffle.

BroncoRescue.org has been overwhelmed by the generosity of fellow Bronco owners. Robbie and the OK Classic Bronco's efforts to assist us in our fund raising is greatly appreciated. We plan to have one of our top members, Adam Harris, BR.org Auditor and ECBR Treasurer, present at the Roundup! Doc
