Like Broncobowsher said, use a cast gear for a flat tappet cam and a steel gear for a roller cam. If you run the wrong gear with the wrong cam you will destroy the gear with bad results. You can buy a replacement gear at any autoparts store.

Stock duraspark dist., cast gear, not roller flat tappet cam, I used plenty of assy. lube. I do run 10-30 Valvoline and Motorcraft filter. I could try to run 5-30? I wouldn't have thought 60 psi would be that extreme.

you guys that have 80 pounds how do you stop the blow by.i even have baffled valve covers and it still steams out of the breither

I have no problem with this but my engine is fairly new. Make sure you have at least one PCV valve in a valve cover and you should be good unless the rings are worn and you're pressurizing the crankcase, which is what blowby really is. If that's the case you can't do much about it. Oil pressure doesn't really affect blowby; they're two different things.
